Necklace with monkeys, emeralds and marcasites in 925 Sterling silver

Two monkeys set with marcasites and emeralds hang from this unusual necklace and feast on the fruit tree in the centre of the necklace, which is also set with emeralds. The leaves and flowers, which increase in size towards the centre, are set with marcasites, while the oval emeralds on the fruit tree are each approximately 7 x 5 mm in size and come from Colombia. The eyes of the monkeys were set with small rubies. The two primates are only firmly attached to the necklace by their arms; the monkeys can be attached to the necklace by their tails or simply left to dangle loosely as desired. The necklace is closed with a ladder clasp with the hallmark on the inside. The piece of jewellery is approx. 43 cm long and weighs approx. 72 grams.
